Wander through the gardens of Karrakatta Cemetery and discover the remarkable contributions of WA women from all walks of life—activists, artists, politicians, nurses, business leaders, and everyday women whose legacies endure. From social reformers who fought for justice to creatives who enriched Australia’s cultural landscape, each stop along the trail shares a powerful and inspiring story.

Meet Australia’s first female member of Parliament, one of the designers of the Australian flag, even a Russian aristocrat. Each story is interwoven with the fabric of WA’s past, inviting you to experience the vibrant diversity and strength of its women.

This immersive experience brings history to life, connecting you to the struggles, triumphs, and resilience of WA women.

Maps are available at the entrance to the front office in the main driveway. Parking is available throughout Karrakatta Cemetery. A cafe is open at the main entrance Mon-Fri, 8am to 3.30pm.
