Vintage Village Tour

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of our past at the Australian Heritage Festival 2025. This year's theme, "Unearthed," invites you to uncover hidden stories and lesser-known histories that have shaped our community.

The “living history museum” offers a captivating recreation of Fairfield City businesses and residences from the 1880s to the 1930s. Visitors will feel as though they’ve travelled back in time as they explore the meticulously preserved and reconstructed buildings.

The Vintage Village boasts a variety of historic sites, including a 1930s schoolhouse, an 1880s cottage, a slab hut, a 1930s general store, a newspaper printery, a blacksmith forge, a motor garage, and a hay shed. Each location provides a unique glimpse into the daily lives and work of people from these bygone eras.

After the tour, guests can enjoy a relaxing cuppa, reflecting on the fascinating history they’ve just experienced. This guided tour is a perfect opportunity for history enthusiasts and families alike to connect with the past in a meaningful way.
