Samson House at Walyalup Heritage Festival Open Day

Celebrate the Australian Heritage Festival at Samson House at Walyalup. Bring a picnic and enjoy the jazzy tunes and festive atmosphere.

Fremantle’s historic Samson House will be open to the public on Sunday 4 May 2025 with live music and the opportunity to meet our volunteers and explore the house and grounds.

The historic house will be available for self-guided tours at scheduled times throughout the day – you’ll be able to sign up for your preferred time on arrival.

Gather your family and friends and bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn or under the trees while relaxing to the smooth jazzy tunes of local three-piece band Swingin’ Bits.

As part of this year’s Australian Heritage Festival theme “Unearthed,” discover what weird and wonderful treasures were uncovered during recent conservation works on the 1890s timber stables. There will also be a range of family-friendly activities on offer.

Enjoy free entry today only as part of the 2025 Australian Heritage Festival. Gates open at 11am but you’re welcome to come along anytime during the day (we recommend arriving no later than 2pm).
