Located in the rugged Central Highlands, Waddamana Power Station is Hydro Tasmania’s first power station and a key part of the bold vision that propelled Tasmania into the industrial age. Discover the fascinating story of the Great Lake Power Scheme, built against the odds in one of Tasmania’s most isolated regions. Wander through the power station with it’s mighty turbines, long retired but still remaining intact.
