Graythwaite Unearthed

Join a guided walking tour and enjoy exclusive access to view the Graythwaite site that sits within Shore, North Sydney. Discover the story of the site from its beginnings as a stone cottage to a grand 19th century estate. View artefacts that were unearthed from the excavation of the site in 2010.

Opening the Graythwaite site as part of the Australian Heritage Festival presents a wonderful opportunity for visitors to delve deep into the history of the site and walk around the historic buildings and its grounds. Book in for a tour and you will hear stories about the lifestyles and working conditions of its residents and will have an opportunity to view artefacts that were unearthed during the excavation of the site in 2010.

A 40-minute guided tour will be hosted on 17 May.

This event is a family-friendly walk that is wheelchair accessible.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

Meeting point: Front steps of the Graythwaite Building, Shore. Access is via Gate 1 on 50 Union Street or 20 Edward Street, North Sydney.

Tour times: 10.15am and 11.15am

Pets are not permitted on School grounds.
