Masked Mediaeval and Renaissance Ball
Unearth the passion of mediaeval and renaissance dances and music, and Australian contemporary dances inspired by them. Thrill to merry period and period-inspired music by the Jounce Ensemble. Enjoy sprightly period and contemporary dances, lead by David "Oddstockings" Wanless.
Dances include the Chess Dance, by Canberra dancing master and historian John Garden, where everyone takes on the role of a chess piece and dances across a giant chess board, to inspiring music.
No dancing experience or partner required.
All ages and identities welcome.
