Using a blend of archival research and contemporary sources, Mrs. Margaret Whiteside, indomitable spirit of the sea, comes to life.
The wife of Captain James Whiteside of the Barque Parkside, Margaret was on board as the first European settlers landed at the proposed Australind settlement in the south west of Western Australia and a witness to their hopes, dreams and disappointments.
Join the Captain’s wife as she weaves tales of shipwreck, high adventure and heartache into this warm and witty afternoon event held at the beginning point of Bunbury’s iconic shipwreck bridge.
