Uncovered: archaeological artefacts from Blues Point

Discover some of the artefacts unearthed during the pain-staking archaeological dig by heritage firm Casey & Lowe in 2018 at Blues Point, prior to the construction of the Sydney Metro Tunnel.

An enormous amount of detail was literally unearthed at the excavation about the people who lived around Blues Point in the mid to late 19th century. The extensive collection of European artefacts was donated to North Sydney Council and is usually kept in storage at Stanton Library. This is the first public glimpse of the artefacts that were found.
